That foundation carried him into dental school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).
Rather than stopping at dental school, Dr. Lane went on to complete a full year of advanced surgical training immediately afterward — the kind of additional hands-on experience that sharpens surgical judgment before a dentist ever sees a patient independently. His connection to that training didn't end when the year did: Dr. Lane now serves as a current board member at the residency center where he trained, helping guide the same program that shaped his own surgical skills.
